CliniMed and Wheelchair Basketball in 2019

Last year CliniMed went in to partnership with Wheelchair basketballscotland and Glasgow Rocks (formerly known as St Mirren Warriors). We’re pleased to announce that this relationship has been renewed for 2019 and are looking forward to all that it will bring.

This partnership was initiated by Mike Ferrier, Product Specialist – Urology, Continence and Woundcare. “I’m really pleased that we are going into a second season in partnership with Wheelchair basketballscotland and the Glasgow Rocks.

We have increased sponsorship this year with both parties which has given us the opportunity to meet more athletes from teams not only throughout Scotland but as both Glasgow Rocks 1 and Glasgow Rocks 2 play in the National League it gives us access to athletes from across England and Wales as well. We have also managed to secure brand placement on the chairs that the Rocks use during their games. This will ensure that our CliniMed name travels wherever the Rocks play.

I’ve attended three games already this season including the CliniMed Allstars game in Edinburgh and was privileged to present the winning team, East, with the trophy. This event was live streamed and went out to over 6.5K viewers.

This partnership has given CliniMed the opportunity to access end users which we haven’t had before and by supporting these events it will give us the possibility of introducing them to the CliniMed/SecuriCare family.”

Abby Hamilton, CliniMed’s Junior Product Manager for Urology and Continence is heavily involved with the project. “This

partnership is a great opportunity for us. It’s rewarding to see how our products and services can help the players and it’s great for me to get out of the office and meet the teams. We have also gained a couple of bloggers through the partnership who share continence and lifestyle experiences, helping raise awareness of continence issues. I hope our relationships continue over the coming years. creating further opportunities that will benefit both us as a company and the players and teams we work with.”
